The Witcher 3 remaster Yrden build (Witcher 3 remaster yrden build) is a setup built around signs and Griffin armor. The Remaster gave us a completely reworked skill tree and with that everyone’s favorite builds broke. Some you can rebuild more or less the same, some you cannot. All that is left is to get used to the new tree and adapt.

How the build works
This build focuses on signs and from my play right after the Remaster came out I have to say it is currently a very strong setup. It combines Griffin armor and Yrden. In the Remaster we can place more Yrden traps with greater reach, which is finally a pretty interesting combination. They last much longer and take much more health from enemies. It is no problem to lay down ten Yrden circles side by side.
What the build is good at
The build shines because you can scatter several Yrden traps across the battlefield. Usually three are enough to cover the whole fight area. Enemies on those spots are slowed, Geralt gets faster stamina regeneration so you can cast signs more often, and thanks to how abilities are split you can also cast signs for adrenaline points, which pays off hugely with this set. Geralt also gets higher sign intensity, takes less damage, and each trap regularly hurts every monster inside it.
What you need for the build
First you want Griffin armor. For me it is the set from New Game Plus and I get the set bonuses a bit earlier. Even without that the build works in the base game, you just wait for grandmaster Griffin armor.
Six armor pieces give you the full-set group bonus. The Yrden trap is forty percent larger, you regenerate stamina faster inside the circle, sign intensity goes up, and you take less damage. With three pieces you also get a short window where standard signs do not cost stamina, which at the start nicely lets you drop two traps next to each other right away.
On weapons put the Severance word from runewriting, which increases the reach of Whirl and strong attacks. Then on every armor piece I slot a glyph boost for Yrden.
For decoctions I use Ekimmara Decoction, Troll Decoction, and Ekhidna Decoction. I cover all three and what they do in the best decoctions overview.
And of course the last piece is laying out the skill tree. That makes it a very strong sign build, mainly for Yrden. See below:
In the menu you might see Bear armor visually, but it is really Griffin gear with appearance reforging applied.

Video
In the video you can see how Yrden works in practice. It is on the highest difficulty with the build above and no mods, only armor appearance from the game. Geralt clears the whole Nilfgaardian camp without much trouble.
