Witcher 3 Kaer Almhult dwarf (Tyrion Lannister easter egg) lies in a sky cell in the underground prison of the fortress on a small island between Ard Skellig and Spikeroog in Skellige. The dead dwarf with a red beard and a scar on his face reminds you of Tyrion from Game of Thrones. When you examine the body Geralt says: “Sky cells… Nice idea for a prison without bars. Shame he didn’t know how to fly.” The quest does not show up in the journal, it is a hidden detail on the map.

Walkthrough

From Skellige you sail to the island with the Kaer Almhult fortress. On the map look for it north of Undvik, between Ard Skellig and Spikeroog. At the signpost and in the ruins pirates wait for you, so keep your sword ready.

In the fortress courtyard go to the upper left corner. There you find a broken staircase that leads into the underground prison. In the corridors there are more enemies and one of them carries the key to the cells. You open the prison door and walk through to the cells that have an open side over the sea.

In the middle cell the dwarf lies on his back. When you examine the body you get Geralt’s comment about sky cells. Underground there are also chests and a hidden treasure, so go through the whole prison before you sail on across the Skellige map.

Closing

Kaer Almhult is a short stop for fans of A Song of Ice and Fire and at the same time one of the hidden details you can easily miss on the map. Similar easter eggs are in the hidden details overview and with other secrets in Velen. More about the whole game is in the Witcher 3 review.
