The Witcher 3 — how to get into the infirmary by the Nilfgaardian camp

Witcher 3 House of Respite (House of Respite) is the mark by the Army Group Center camp in Velen. Players look for it as the infirmary. I bought the Nilfgaardian armor from the quartermaster in Crow’s Perch and the guards let me through.

Where the infirmary is on the map

The camp sits in the southeast of Velen. The House of Respite fast travel mark sits right by the fenced courtyard. At the gate hangs a sign that only a full military uniform may enter. Geralt in witcher gear will not get through. Keep your weapons sheathed in front of the gate.

The locked infirmary in White Orchard is a different location and does not belong here.

Entering the Nilfgaardian camp in armor

Up in Crow’s Perch next to the blacksmiths Fergus and Yoana stands the quartermaster. In his shop you buy Nilfgaardian Armor, trousers, boots, and gloves. Put the armor on and go back to the House of Respite gate. The guards step aside and let you in.

If you still have the court clothes from the meeting with Emperor Emhyr in Vizima and you did not sell them, the guards accept those the same way.

What you find inside

Inside, no quest waits for you. You meet officers, courtesans, and bards. In that big house by the right window lies a Nilfgaardian Helmet. Next to it in a chest is Nilfgaardian armor. When you steal, watch out for the guards.

This is not a hidden notice-board quest. It belongs with the places you easily miss in the hidden quests in Velen, because the game never sends you there on its own.
